The correct treatment of all types of leather is critical and increases the life span of your footwear. Meindl Sportwax is recommended for all smooth leather parts of the uppers, flexible areas, tongue and sole seams of Meindl leather boots.

Correct maintenance and care of your Meindl boots is an integral part of the warranty.

It conditions the leather preventing cracking whilst providing a water repellent finish. Cleaning and conditioning the leather is important for the proper care of your walking boots.

Some leather and suede shoes can benefit from waxing (although the appearance may change).

Without regular waxing with Meindl Sportwax, your boots will show signs of cracking at the flex points. This may, in turn, damage the waterproof (Gore-Tex) lining and your boots will leak! Only by waxing leather boots will you protect the leather to help keep your boots more waterproof.
